Tim Burton is my all time favorite director! I think he has a brilliant mind and I love the quirky and twisted movies he puts out. So here is my Top 5 favorite Tim Burton Movies
#5 Batman (1989) / Batman Returns (1992)

Tim Burton brings a dark and twisted take on the Batman comics when he directed Batman in 1989. Burton admitted during filming that he was not a big comic book fan but that he loved the image of Batman and the Joker. After Batman Burton returned to direct Batman Returns in 1992. Once the movie opened it received a lot of unhappy fans because they saw it as being too dark, twisted, and sexulized for the younger Bat fans. Batman is my all time favorite super hero, and I just love the dark take on the movie that Tim Burton brought to the movie.

# 4 Edward Scissorhands (1990)

The first movie in which Tim Burton worked with Johnny Depp was Edward Scissorhands. A movie that follows a shy and gentle young man who has the misfortune of having scissors for hands. I always loved the quirkiness of this movie. The crazy hair styles and hedge trimmings. It's my favorite story of love and loss, which lands it at number 4 on my list.
#3 BeetleJuice (1998)

BeetleJuice a movie about a married couple who tragically pass away. Their home is purchased by business man, his obnoxious artist wife, and their death obsessed daughter. The couple in hopes of spooking the family out of the house call on the help of BeetleJuice. After working with Burton as Bruce Wayne/Batman in both Tim Burton's Batman and Batman Returns, Michael Keaton took the roll of BeetleJuice. After growing up watching the cartoon that was based on the movie, and always laughing at the movie. Even watching the movie today gives me a laugh! BeetleJuice gets ranked at number 3 on my list of Tim Burton Movies.
#2 Hansel & Gretel (1982)
Hansel and Gretel was Tim Burton's first feature where he was 100% free to do what he wanted. The feature is 30 minutes in length and was created for the Disney Channel for Halloween. The film only ran once and was never seen again. Luckily this 30 minute feature has popped up on YouTube for fans to watch. If you haven't seen this feature and are a Tim Burton fan, you are missing out. I've watched this on YouTube and it cracks me up every time I watch it. I love the twisted mind of Tim Burton and Hansel and Gretel does NOT disappoint.
#1 The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
